Crawling Insects

Crawling insects are one of the most widespread pests in the world. While not all crawling insects are considered as pests; those that are, tend to be quite a nuisance. Not only do they swarm on food that is around your house, they can sometimes contaminate your utensils without you knowing it. They can spread really fast and they seem to found around your home.

Types Of Crawling Pests

• Cockroach
  

  Cockroaches can survive hot & extremely cold climates, but prefer the conditions of tropical or sub-tropical climates. They thrive almost anywhere because they feed on a wide range of things like: bread, fruit, leather, glue, dead insects, & etc. Cockroaches also leave scent trails so that other cockroaches can discover the location of food, water sources, & hiding places. They can also spread at alarming rate. 1 female, given the right conditions, can lay up to 300 to 400 offspring in a single lifetime. Cockroaches also passively carry pathogens that could harm you and your family.

• Red and Black Ants
  

  Ants are very organized and can be quite a nuisance when they invade your home. They live in a colony that can range from a few hundred to thousands of members. What makes them organized is that members of their colonies have a specific role. What we usually see roaming outside their colony are workers that are tasked with gathering food. Ants are omnivores, so they are attracted to whatever food you have around your house. Ant queens can live for about 6 years. So if they are left alone, they can steadily spread and grow their colony to a very large size. Though they are not known to spread any pathogens, they sting humans when threatened.

Signs of infestation

• Cockroach
  • Pellet like egg casings can be seen around your house.
  • Several cockroaches can be seen around your kitchen or bathroom.
• Ants
  • Ants swarming on food, and stored food.
  • Ants marching in a line are visible on your wall or floor.
